for Writers
As literary agents, we know we can only represent a tiny fraction of writers that come our way. To balance out the “gatekeeper” aspects of our job, we believe it’s our ethical responsibility to open the door for as many writers as possible by providing clear, concise, and trustworthy information to assist all writers in their publishing journey.
In contrast to expensive classes, conferences, or premium “secret sauce” promises, Print Run prioritizes providing accessible querying, writing, and publishing advice that explains what rules you can break, what wisdom actually hold up, and why there are so many hoops to jump through in the first place.

We host our Print Run for Writers content on Patreon, which functions as a dynamic, user-led space where
we tailor content for our fans.Except for our free Office Hours, all our content for writers sits behind a paywall on Patreon at either a $3/month tier and an $8/month tier. We have no plans to raise these prices.
We believe that every writer should have access to accurate publishing information, regardless of their financial status. If you want access to our Patreon content but can’t afford the subscription, we will give you access, no questions asked.

The Query Show
Each month, we record a show that consists of line-by-line critiques of real query letters, as a means of helping writers understand the most effective—and least effective—ways to pitch their books. We talk about everything related to query letters: metadata, comp titles, plot paragraphs, how to manage POV, genre-specific considerations, author bios, and much more. If you are preparing to pitch your book to agents, this show will definitely have something useful in it for you.

The First Pages Show
Similar in structure to the Query Show, the First Pages Show goes line by line through submitted manuscript openings, in order to talk about what agents are looking for and hoping to see in the opening moments of your book. You get one shot at a first impression with your writing; let this detailed show help you make it the best one possible.

Minisodes and
Written Content
Our most dynamic category of offerings, minisodes and written items are designed to address specific, bite-size topics we know are vexing the publishing or writer community and are often created in response to direct questions. We’ve covered everything from why you hate your book cover to the procedure for querying an agent you know socially. We also have downloadable word templates available and even flowcharts that help querying writers know when to nudge an agent.

Office Hours
Free to access and open to everyone, we each host one Office Hour a month. We hop on Zoom and answer any and all questions attendees might have, whether they’re super general or extremely specific. These sessions are very fun and relaxed and jam-packed with good discussion.
Dates and times of Office Hours vary to accommodate the dynamic schedules of creative people (who may or may not have non-writer jobs in addition to this work.)
